Details of the activity

Lastours constitutes a vast archaeological complex with its four castles, Cabaret, Tour Régine, Surdespine and Quertineux, built at the top of a rocky base, and its medieval village, the Castrum de Cabaret, deep in the valley. The visit takes place in two stages: the discovery of the panorama from the Belvédère, and the access to the monuments by a hiking trail built from the old textile factory. An archaeological exhibition "Lastours, 4000 years of history" presents the main discoveries resulting from almost 25 years of excavations. To this is added a "Fauna and Flora" course which prepares the visitor for the discovery of the natural environment organized around 3 thematic poles "geology, botany, zoology".
